As I looked back on my blog, I see I’ve passed an anniversary of sorts. It was just over two years ago I began with my first blog over on Blogger, and my first post which was here. I was home for lunch, and I had just set up my first blog. I didn’t really have anything to say. I looked up at CNN and they were covering the Michael Jackson trial, just down the road in Santa Maria, so that was my first post, and the rest is history. I didn’t think I’d actually still be blogging two years later. I don’t blog every day either–only when I feel like it. I haven’t posted on this blog for over two weeks, so I’ve been out of the mood for awhile. There have been plenty of worthy topics–but some of them, i.e., the most notable, Iraq, homeland security, the five year anniversary of 9/11 have all been too depressing in light of where our country seems to be heading to blog about. Oh well, perhaps this funk will pass and I’ll be back in the mood, or more of one anyway.

This is rich–Dan Quayle walking out of a John Mellencamp concert because Mellencamp dared to express a political viewpoint different from Quayle’s. I’m certain Quayle’s departure must have just devestated Mellencamp. Please!!!!!!! Perhaps he was rushing off to a spelling bee?

I don’t suppose Mr. Bush gets many of these types of questions in the scripted and controlled public appearances he routinely makes; but, every once in a while a real person actually gets through.
